Information on the processing of personal data pursuant to Art. 13 GDPR.
The controller responsible for data processing on this website within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is:
This website consists of static pages. You can use it in full without providing any personal data. We deliberately do not use any technology that analyses your behaviour:
When you access this website, our hosting provider automatically collects information transmitted by your browser. This is technically necessary in order to deliver the page. The following is recorded:
The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the technically error-free operation and the security of the website. This data is not merged with other data sources and is deleted after a short period.
The website is operated on the servers of our hosting provider. A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with this provider.
When you switch between German and English, the website stores your choice locally in your browser (localStorage, key “ramLang”). This is not a cookie: the value is never transmitted to our server and contains only the code of the language you selected.
The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR; the legitimate interest is to display the website in the language you have chosen. You can delete the entry at any time via your browser settings.
If you contact us by email or telephone, we process the information you provide in order to handle your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR insofar as the enquiry serves to initiate or perform a contract, and otherwise Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR based on our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries.
We retain this data for as long as is necessary to process your enquiry, and beyond that only insofar as statutory retention periods apply.
The documentation area is protected by a user name and password. To set up access, we process the information you provide with your request — usually company, contact person, machine type and serial number. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR, as access serves to fulfil our obligations under the purchase contract for the machine.
Server log files as described above are generated when you log in and when documents are retrieved. Credentials are stored exclusively as a cryptographic hash; the password itself is not known to us.
On our contact page we offer a map provided by the Google Maps service. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.
The map is not loaded automatically. Initially you see only a placeholder. The connection to Google is established only when you click “Load map”. In doing so, your IP address and information about your browser, among other things, are transmitted to Google; transmission may also take place to the USA.
The legal basis for this processing is your consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR, which you give by clicking the button. The consent applies only to the respective page view and is not stored; you can withdraw it by reloading the page. As long as you do not load the map, no connection to Google is established.

A chat assistant is available on our pages. It only becomes active when you open it via the button and send a message. Until then, no connection to a chat server is established.
If you send a message, the message text and a randomly generated session identifier are transmitted to our chat endpoint and processed there in order to answer your enquiry. The chat endpoint is operated on a server in Germany. The session identifier is stored in your browser's sessionStorage and deleted when you close the browser tab; it contains no personal data.
The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR insofar as the enquiry serves to initiate a contract, and otherwise Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR based on our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries. Please do not enter special categories of personal data or any credentials in the chat.
Appointment requests: in the chat assistant you can request an appointment using a form. Your name, company, email address, telephone number, preferred date, the system concerned and your request as well as – voluntarily – your address (street, postal code, city, country) are transmitted to our chat endpoint together with the session identifier. We process this data in order to handle your appointment request and to contact you. Appointment requests are transferred exclusively to our appointment calendar; it is operated on our own server and the data is not passed on to third parties. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures taken at your request).
AI language model: the chat assistant’s replies are generated by the AI language model “Mistral” from Mistral AI, Paris, France. For this purpose, the message text, for appointment requests also the form data, and the session identifier are transmitted to Mistral AI and processed there. Mistral AI processes this data on our behalf under a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR. We do not transfer the data to any country outside the European Union. Replies are generated automatically and may contain errors; binding information, quotations and appointment confirmations are provided by our staff. No automated decision-making within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR takes place.
Storage period: chat histories and appointment requests are deleted 90 days after your last message. If an enquiry leads to an order or a business relationship, we retain the necessary data for as long as statutory retention obligations require (in particular Section 257 of the German Commercial Code and Section 147 of the German Fiscal Code). The session identifier in your browser is deleted when you close the browser tab.

As soon as you follow a link, the privacy policy of the respective provider applies. We have no influence over its content or over the data processing that takes place there.
You have the following rights at any time with regard to the personal data concerning you:
To exercise these rights, an informal message to info@ramgmbh.com is sufficient.
Irrespective of this, you have the right under Art. 77 GDPR to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is:
For security reasons, this website uses TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the fact that your browser's address bar begins with “https://” and displays a padlock symbol. When encryption is active, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.
Please note that data transmission over the internet — for example when communicating by email — can generally have security gaps. Complete protection against access by third parties is not possible.
