R.A.M. is an initiator and co-author of DIN SPEC 91522 (November 2025) — a specification for an optical test method to determine the defect density of films made from recycled plastics.
DIN SPEC 91522 describes how the defect density of films made from recycled plastics can be determined objectively and comparably using optical measuring systems. It thus establishes a uniform quality benchmark for a field that previously had no standardised method — an important basis for greater quality and confidence in recycled plastic films.
R.A.M. helped shape the specification as an initiator and author — represented by Christopher Voigtmann and Helmut Flohr. Our many years of experience in automated surface inspection — for instance with line and area cameras, contrast thresholds and defect classification — fed directly into the method.
