The ITG 500 Gel Analyser brings gel inspection directly to your existing extrusion line. A camera, LED illumination, an industrial PC and a compact control cabinet are fitted to an existing extruder — the same technology as in the PQMex®, retrofitted instead of turnkey.
// ITG 500 · Gel Analyser
The ITG 500 Gel Analyser detects, classifies and logs gels and optical defects in films and webs — opaque films in bright field, transparent films in dark field. Rather than being supplied as a standalone line, the system is fitted to an extruder already in place, including third-party machines.
The system consists of a few building blocks that are fitted to the extruder together.
Captures the running web line by line — high-resolution, for bright and dark field.
Longfield LED matched to the material — transmitted light for transparent, reflected light for opaque films.
Runs CAMEN, evaluates the defects online and writes the roll reports.
Kept compact — houses the control and ties in the line's digital inputs and outputs.
Specifically designed to detect gel specks in transparent films.
Ideal for both transparent and opaque films.
Enhances visibility and clarity, especially for coated films.
A blend of transmitted and reflected light for unparalleled clarity.
From gel specks, gels and burners through fisheyes to impurities, wrinkles, voids or flies — the system classifies them all and additionally provides photos of each defect for detailed evaluation.
Tiny gel points in transparent films.
Gel inclusions in the material.
Burnt particles and dark spots.
Lens-shaped defects.
Foreign particles and inclusions.
Wrinkles and creases in the film.
Holes and voids.
Small fly-like specks.
The ITG 500 is operated through CAMEN on the touchscreen. Classifiers, warning and alarm limits and the defect map work just as they do on the other R.A.M. inspection systems.
After start-up the system is locked. User name and password unlock the levels up to maintenance.
All product-related settings sit in the recipe; loading it sets the camera automatically.
Zero the opacity with no material, then calibrate the camera to the material under test.
The running web is inspected; defects are classified immediately and placed on the defect map.
Roll reports are exported as CSV or over TCP/IP; vSTAT handles the in-depth analysis.
Fits into your IT network — accessible from any workstation.
Monitor evaluations in real time.
Download data directly via the USB interface.
