Real-time quality control for maximum efficiency: continuous inline monitoring reduces scrap and ensures consistent quality — for higher productivity and lower costs.
// PQMex®
PQMex® (Parallel Quality Measurement Extruder) is a high-performance inline quality measurement system for recycling production lines. It combines advanced sensor technology, intelligent data processing and full automation — for real-time insights into material quality. Optical inspection is handled by a built-in ITG 500 (Inspection to go), while PQMex® remains a standalone system.
The inline comparison of two production lines and the rapid root-cause analysis of process deviations lead to optimised processes and a faster ROI.

Automated operation with minimal downtime.
Continuous real-time monitoring of gels and defects.
Full data traceability and process insights.
Immediate feedback for faster decision-making.
Recipe-based control for fast material changeovers and maximum uptime.
Detection and classification of defects by size and type.
Inline measurement and classification of gels and defects.
Monitoring of a consistent bubble diameter.
Quality-based sorting and homogenization of the material.
Full traceability and advanced analytics.
Compact design for easy retrofit into existing lines.
All PE types – LDPE, MDPE, LLDPE, HDPE – can be tested, in every pellet colour from natural, black and white to multi-colour. The PQMex® assesses how soft and hard contamination, gels, additives and blend ratios affect the film, and grades the material accordingly.
Already have an extruder or a blown-film test line? The ITG 500 – Gel Analyser brings the same inspection technology directly to your line – retrofitted instead of as a standalone system. To the ITG 500 – Gel Analyser →
PQMex® measures inline while a buffer is being filled; a buffer retention time of approx. 10 minutes compensates for the analysis delay. The tested regranulate enters the weighing hopper, quality and quantity are stored — and the material is classified into quality grades.

High-grade regranulate for demanding applications.
Saleable regranulate in standard quality.
Mixed regranulate to individual specification.
You decide which quality grade a material achieves: a limit in gels per m² is stored for each size class – per customer or application. The same measurement can therefore mean quality A for one buyer and quality B for another. Instead of per m², the limits can also refer to another area, such as per cm².
| 0–0.05 | 0.05–0.1 | 0.1–0.3 | 0.3–0.5 | 0.5–1.0 | > 1.0 | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Customer X – limit | 3500 | 500 | 200 | 100 | 100 | 0 |
| Customer Y – limit | 4000 | 700 | 300 | 250 | 115 | 2 |
| Measurement LLDPE | 3780 | 142 | 40 | 3 | 1 | 0 |
In the example, the measurement in the 0–0.05 mm² class is above the limit of customer X but below that of customer Y: for customer X the material is quality B, for customer Y quality A.
